Firm to lease Mississauga’s premier office development by Pearson International Airport
TORONTO, Feb. 1, 2013 — Jones Lang LaSalle was today named exclusive leasing agent for a 33-acre mixed use development at Airport Corporate Centre (ACC), Mississauga. The development set to break ground in April 2013, will comprise 1.3 million square feet of office space and 70,000 square feet of restaurant and amenities. Acquired by Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), the site is just south of Pearson International Airport and will be adjacent to the new Spectrum Station which will be part of the Mississauga MiWay Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line.
Jones Lang LaSalle’s Doug Hitchcox, Michael Case, LEED AP and Scott Watson, the listing team with a proven track record of success at HOOPP’s nearby 700,000-square-foot AeroCentre Complex, will lead leasing efforts at the new site known as Spectrum Square.

Spectrum Square is a master-planned complex being developed to the highest environmental standards and will target Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification.
HOOPP acquired the land in November 2011 and is developing the master site plan with the City of Mississauga. The plan proposes approximately 10-12 restaurant and service amenity tenants and seven office buildings, ranging from 125,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet. There are also a number of build-to-suit opportunities. Current ACC tenants include blue chip corporations, Nokia Siemens, Target Canada, Ricoh, Acer and PepsiCo.
HOOPP, a defined benefit pension plan serving 270,000 working and retired Ontario healthcare workers, has approximately $40.3 billion in assets, including a $6 billion real estate portfolio.
