Jones Lang LaSalle Grows Canadian Real Estate Investment Practice

Global investment leader joins national Capital Markets group to support firm’s growth in Canada

VANCOUVER, April 15, 2013 — As a result of its continued growth in Canada, Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) announced today that it is adding global real estate investment expert Lucy Fletcher to its Canadian investment division. Based in Vancouver, Fletcher will serve as Vice President of Capital Markets and the International Capital Group, driving the firm’s national focus on advising Canadian investors deploying funds offshore and investing foreign capital into the Canadian real estate market.

Fletcher brings 14 years of experience in real estate investment, asset management, development and consulting.  She spent the last 10 years in Asia and four of those with JLL in Hong Kong. Prior to re-joining JLL in January 2012, Fletcher was the Regional Head of Asset Management at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for their Pan Asia Real Estate Opportunity Fund.  She has extensive acquisition, underwriting and due diligence experience across multiple asset classes, including hotel, residential, office, industrial and retail).

Fletcher is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). She holds a master’s in architectural design from the University of Edinburgh and a postgraduate diploma in estate management from South Bank University in London.

Fletcher’s role in Jones Lang LaSalle’s Canadian Capital Markets division continues the firm’s focus on Canada’s real estate investment market. Over the last year, the firm added more than 40 new employees to its Canadian practice, including investment and brokerage expert Scott Speirs in Montreal and veteran retail investment brokers Matthew Smith and Hugh O’Connell in Toronto.
