Jones Lang LaSalle Bolsters Industrial Brokerage Business in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, June 18, 2013 — Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) announced today that it is responding to increasing client demand for industrial real estate expertise by adding two industrial brokerage professionals to its Canadian business. Bruno Fiorvento will join JLL as Executive Vice President to lead the organization’s rapidly-growing industrial brokerage group in Vancouver and Baktash Kasraei will support the team as a Senior Associate. Fiorvento and Kasraei join JLL from Colliers International.

“Jones Lang LaSalle’s industrial brokerage group in Canada is seeing tremendous demand from its clients for industrial real estate advisory and transaction management across the region,” said Brett Miller, President of Jones Lang LaSalle Canada.  “As an accomplished and seasoned industrial real estate professional, Bruno will be an exemplary leader for JLL’s industrial brokerage practice in British Columbia.”

Fiorvento brings more than 14 years of industrial real estate investment, sales, leasing and development experience to his senior leadership role at JLL. He spent the past 14 years at Colliers International where he completed more than 500 transactions, leased more than 7.5 million square feet of industrial real estate and sold more than $300 million of industrial assets in the Lower Mainland alone. He will leverage his deep experience in the Delta, Richmond, South Vancouver and Burnaby markets to lead JLL’s Vancouver industrial brokerage group. Fiorvento holds a business administration/economics degree from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).

Kasraei has more than a decade of business experience in the telecommunications, transportation and health supplement industries. Before joining JLL, he was an industrial broker for Colliers International, where he facilitated the sales of industrial properties, represented tenants and landlords in lease negotiations, and advised clients on real estate development with an emphasis on distribution and logistics facilities. He studied business administration at Capilano University and real estate at Sauder School of Business at the University of British Colombia. He is involved in both the local business and real estate communities, and is a member of NAIOP, Vancouver Enterprise Forum, Urban Development Institute and Urban Land Institute.

Fiorvento and Kasraei’s new role at JLL is a direct result of the firm’s goal to expand its Canadian real estate service offerings. Over the last year, the firm added approximately 100 new employees in Canada, including the recent appointment of global real estate investment expert, Lucy Fetcher in Vancouver.
Jones Lang LaSalle has operated in Canada for more than a decade. Based in Toronto, the firm also operates in Mississauga, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver and Calgary. Jones Lang LaSalle offers tenant and landlord representation, project and development services, investment sales, and integrated facilities management services to owners and tenants in Canada.  Jones Lang LaSalle manages 32 million square feet of facilities across Canada.
