​​Current Responsibilities
Dave Black, AACI, P.App, currently serves as Vice President of Advisory and Appraisal Services in JLL’s Downtown Toronto office. Mr. Black specializes in the valuation of major institutional grade retail and office assets across the country, and has been directly involved in appraising and advising on some of most prestigious real estate in Canada. In 2013, led by Gordon Coffell, and along with Warren Coffell and Jared Coffell, his group valued well in excess of $20 billion in commercial real estate for various Canadian and international clients. 

Mr. Black joined JLL in 2014. Prior to his current role, he spent over six years at Cushman & Wakefield in a variety of positions. Most recently, Mr. Black was an integral part of the National Investment Valuation Group, which was responsible for the valuation of high-profile investments across the country for many of the larger pension funds and REITS, as well as institutional and other industry leaders.

Education and Affiliations
Mr. Black graduated from the Queen’s School of Business in 2006 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours). After completing his Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation through the Sauder School of Business at UBC in 2010, Mr. Black was awarded his AACI designation by the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 2013.
