​​​Current Responsibilities
Dave Black, AACI, P.App, currently serves as Vice President – Advisory and Appraisal Services in JLL’s Downtown Toronto office. Mr. Black specializes in the valuation of major institutional grade retail and office assets across the country, and has been directly involved in appraising and advising on some of the most prestigious real estate in Canada. Dave is heavily involved in all aspects of the valuation process: site inspections, financial analysis, cash flow modelling, assumptions selection, report creation, etc., and frequently presents national office and retail market trends and findings in a variety of settings. In 2017, his group valued well in excess of $30 billion in commercial real estate for various Canadian and international clients.

Prior to his time at JLL, Dave spent over six years at Cushman & Wakefield in a variety of positions. Initially providing analytical support services for the Toronto professionals as well as research and market information for use by the firm nationally, he joined the National Investment Valuation Group in 2009, which was responsible for the valuation of high-profile investments across the country for many of the larger pension funds and REITS, as well as institutional and other industry leaders.​
