Current Responsibilities
Jean Chalifour is a Senior Vice President at JLL’s Ottawa-Gatineau Office, his responsibilities are to provide advisory and transaction services to existing corporate clients, develop new business and grow JLL’s portfolio of clients in the National Capital Region.

Jean has 29 years of commercial real estate experience of which 25 years have been dedicated to representing the interest of corporate occupiers and 4 years as a leasing executive for a major North American property owner. Prior to joining JLL he operated his own brokerage company as a licensee of The Staubach Company covering Eastern Canada.

Strong negotiating and problem solving skills combined with unwavering commitment to deliver value, have earned him the respect and loyalty of his clients. Completed projects include sourcing new premises through lease or purchase agreements, disposition of surplus space, lease restructuring, head office relocations and build-to-suit development projects.

Current and past clients include publicly traded and private companies from varied industries including technology, finance and professional services providers, not-for-profit organizations, government agencies and crown corporations.

Education and Affiliations
Mr. Chalifour is a registered Broker with the Real Estate Council of Ontario and with Quebec’s OACIQ as a Real Estate Broker, allowing him to conduct brokerage activities in both provinces. He studied business administration at Laval University, Québec City.

Jean is a past President of the Ottawa Chapter of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) and now volunteers with the Membership Committee. He is a past board member of the Kidney Foundation Ottawa Chapter.
