Current Responsibilities

David is a Mechanical Lead for the Commissioning & Building Analytics team.

David joined JLL’s commissioning team in 2014. His role focuses primarily on the commissioning of new facilities and commissioning compliance projects. David’s responsibilities range from in-office duties; documentation review, report writing, and functional test preparation to on-site activities such as meetings, field inspections, equipment performance testing and reviewing of training sessions. David is also the Project Manager on several projects, and as such, his position requires close collaboration and coordination with design professionals, LEED consultants, owner’s representatives, PM's, contractors, trades and in-house technical personnel to schedule and execute commissioning activities.

Experience
Since joining the commissioning team David has gained extensive experience with healthcare, institutional and educational facilities. He has worked on various new construction and existing building commissioning, building automation system upgrades, and measurement and verification projects. He has been involved in all phases of a project; from proposal preparation, project development, project execution, close out and end of warranty review. David is currently the Project Manager on various University of Toronto projects including Daniel’s Faculty of Architecture and Landscape Design, Faculty of Law and UTSC Environmental Science and Chemistry Building. David is also leading the St. Michael’s Hospital  Redevelopment Project as the Owner’s Commissioning Consultant, overseeing the execution of commissioning activities by the PCCA.

Prior to joining JLL David worked as a commissioning project engineer  for bulk fuel and liquid storage facilities in Western Australia’s mining and resources industry. He also gained extensive experience as a production engineer where he helped install and commissioning one of the most modern and advanced concrete manufacturing facilities in the world.
