Current Responsibilities

Chris McGrath is a Project Manager for the Commissioning & Building Analytics team.
Chris joined the commissioning team in 2014. His role includes overseeing quality assurance methods to ensure the planning, design, construction and operational processes for new buildings and renovations of existing buildings are achieving their goals. Chris’ responsibilities include both the provision of commissioning related work products, and on-site observations and functional testing. His work covers two major building disciplines: Mechanical and Electrical.  Chris’ position requires close collaboration with a team of design professionals, LEED consultants, PM's, contractors, trades and in-house technical personnel.

Chris is also a LEED Green Associate. He is knowledgeable of the responsibilities and requirements associated with the LEED Green Building Rating System and actively applies these standards to ensure successful LEED certification for projects.

Chris is currently leading the 800,000 sq.ft The One York Street project, TD Bank’s new 250,000 sq.ft commercial office fit-up at 320 Front Street West as well as the 950,000 sq.ft Waterpark Place Phase III which also included a 550,000 sq.ft commercial fit-up for The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).

Prior to joining JLL, Chris worked for over three years as an O&M Design Engineer on Climate Control in vehicles. The work involved the fabrication and design of industry leading designs of efficient insulation packages for major clients such as Mercedes Benz, La Rocca and Tim Hortons.
Before that, Chris worked as a design consultant for XMG Games Studio as well as QA/QC Analyst. As a designer he was responsible for formulas that would be used by the developers for computer game logic and motion of race cars. In the same facet, his input heavily influenced the behaviour of game assets and aesthetics. As an Analyst, Chris was responsible for creating testing procedures to ensure the stability of a product before release on Apple’s App Store. This involved understanding the infrastructure and strings within the code to figure out ways in which to expose flaws in the system.
