Brett Miller is the President of JLL Canada. In this capacity, he has overall responsibility for the leadership of all business lines as well as the strategic planning and implementation of the firm's expansion within the Canadian marketplace. The company's mission is to deliver exceptional strategic, fully integrated services and solutions for real estate owners, occupiers and investors.
Since his arrival in May 2012, JLL has become Canada's fastest growing commercial real estate firm and a top-tier competitor in the Canadian marketplace. Through the process of adding new talent, organically launching new business lines, and making acquisitions, Brett has increased revenues by 300%, grown the company from 300 to in excess of 800 employees. Brett has expanded JLL's geographic footprint to cover all major markets and extended the scope of services to 13 business lines.
Brett has more than 25 years of international experience in real estate and entrepreneurial business. Prior to joining JLL Canada, Brett served as Executive Vice President and Regional Managing Director for CBRE, where he was responsible for growing their business in Eastern Canada. In addition to providing thoughtful leadership and overseeing five offices, Brett led major investment transactions and launched several business lines, while growing his regional business from 28 to 150 employees. During his tenure, Brett guided the organization's strategic direction and rise in market share from sixth to first place in all of Eastern Canada.
Prior to his role at CBRE, Brett worked in London, England for News Corporation Limited as General Manager of News Commercial Ventures and in Paris, France as Founder, Managing Director of Nestor Services. Brett began his career with one of Canada's leading real estate developers, Canderel Limited in Montreal, Canada, where he held a number of executive roles dealing in all aspects of real estate.
Education and QualificationsBrett holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Real Estate from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He is fluent in both English and French.
