Current Responsibilities
Paul Greven is the Chief Counsel for JLL Canada. He is responsible for all legal, compliance and risk matters across Canada for the firm.  As a member of JLL’s Canada executive team, Mr. Greven brings a legal perspective to the development and execution of JLL Canada’s corporate strategy.  

Mr. Greven is a corporate lawyer with progressive international real estate experience.  Prior to joining JLL Canada, Mr. Greven worked in private practice and in-house positions for leading developers and law firms based in Canada, the Middle East and the Cayman Islands.
Highlights include:
Provided day-to-day corporate/commercial, real estate and planning advice to developers of hotels, multi-unit residential complexes and shopping centres, including The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Resort, the largest mixed-use recreational hotel, residential and leisure complex in the Cayman Islands. 
Drafted, reviewed, negotiated and closed long term leasing arrangements with leading media, internet and advertising companies, including, CNN, Fox, Turner, Apple, Ubisoft and Yahoo.
Drafted, reviewed and negotiated hotel agreement suites (i.e. technical service, operator (management), license and advisory etc.) on behalf of owners in connection with numerous operators (i.e. The Ritz-Carlton, Marriott International, Jumeirah, Raffles, Alila, International Hotels Group and Viceroy). 
Direct experience with procurement and running RFP and RFQ selection processes for nominated architects, suppliers and construction experts.
Proven ability to deliver value-added legal and risk management solutions and to lead and work alongside people from diverse cultural backgrounds. 
Advises on a broad range of issues including corporate/commercial law, employment/HR, compliance, construction, procurement, investigations, corporate governance, policies (drafting and implementation), financing, outsourcing, change management, media and litigation management including employment-related matters.
