Montreal Office Insight - Q3 2014

  • ​Employment has contracted by nearly 2.0 percent over the last 12 months across the GMA.
  • A fifth consecutive quarter of negative growth continues to accelerate tenant favorable conditions in Montreal.
  • Total vacancy rose by another 500 basis points during Q3 2014 as a result of unoccupied new supply being added to the market.
  • Suburban and Midtown markets have been the most affected by the oversupply of new construction since the beginning of 2014.
