Downtown Vancouver had a strong finish to 2016, as vacancy continued to fall, ending the year at 8.3 percent. The only two buildings to be delivered in 2016 were completed in the fourth quarter, with the TELUS Podium and 510 Seymour both ready for tenant fixturing. The suburban market experienced strong tenant growth during the fourth quarter, with the overall vacancy rate falling 320 basis points to 12.3 percent. The largest drop in vacancy occurred in the Tri-Cities market.
