The last affordable area in Metro Vancouver

  • ​Looking for a detached home below the $1 million dollar mark?  Then go to Surrey, where the median sale price for a detached home in August sat at ‘only’ $920,000. A whopping $1,070,000 below the median price in Vancouver.
  • With its ‘affordability’ and rapid transit links to Downtown Vancouver, we expect to see the already young population increase, further marking Surrey as a ‘millennial city’. Young working professionals looking to start families but still required to commute to Downtown Vancouver will see Surrey as the perfect place to put down roots.
  • With an increased population comes the professional service industry, this rapidly growing city will need more lawyers and accountants so as to meet the increased demand. This will likely result in heated competition for quality office space, particularly in the City Centre where vacancy sits at a low 6.4 percent. ​
