JLL celebrates the 90th Anniversary of the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Toronto
TORONTO, June 11, 2019 – Today, the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Toronto marked its 90th Anniversary and the reopening of the Grand Lobby. JLL’s Project and Development Services (PDS) team specializing in hotel and hospitality has been managing the ambitious transformation of Toronto’s historic landmark hotel since July 2017, and is proud to be a part of its multi-year revitalization project. Today’s celebration marked the unveiling of the Grand Lobby, the new dining venues Reign and Clockwork, the Gold Room Suites, and the 18th floor Gold Lounge.
In attendance were Edwin Frizzell (Regional Vice President and Fairmont Royal York General Manager), Paul Campbell (KingSett Capital and Project Lead, Fairmont Royal York), and the Mayor of Toronto, John Tory, who kicked-off the anniversary celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the redefined Fairmont hotel.

The Grand Lobby and Lobby Bar are going to be ‘the place to be’ for Torontonians and visitors from all around the world.”
JLL has just completed the renovation of the Grand Lobby, Lobby Bar, Gold Rooms and Gold Lounge, all specialty suites and rooms, main ballrooms and meeting rooms. JLL continues to work on additional revitalization projects within the Royal York Hotel to be revealed to the public soon, and looks forward to celebrating the grand opening on June 24th and more momentous occasions together.
