JLL focuses on strategy, innovation and operations through new hire

TORONTO, January 25, 2021 – JLL announces today the hiring of Philippe Bernier as Vice President, Strategy, Operations & Sustainability. Bernier will play a pivotal role in advancing strategy, innovation and sustainability, ensuring operational effectiveness, and accelerating JLL’s market growth.

Prior to joining JLL, Bernier was Vice President, Innovation & Sustainability at a commercial real estate firm where he led efforts to create an innovation governance structure and establish a national and international reputation for ESG leadership. Bernier holds a Bachelor degree in Applied Science in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University, and a Masters in Philosophy in Engineering for Sustainable Development from the University of Cambridge. Bernier is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, a LEED Accredited Professional, and is trained in Lean Six Sigma.

Bernier spent over a decade in management consulting and manufacturing roles, supporting teams and clients to improve systems and processes, adopt new technologies, and strengthen leadership reputations. Through his extensive experience, industry contributions and publications, and frequent speaking engagements, Philippe Bernier is considered to be one of Canada’s leading real estate innovators.
