JLL wins diversity award from Mortgage Bankers Association

Firm recognized for ‘comprehensive, multi-faceted’ diversity and inclusion program

CHICAGO, Feb. 15, 2018 — JLL (NYSE: JLL) has been recognized with the 2018 Commercial/Multifamily Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Award from the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). The award celebrates company initiatives that were specifically developed and designed to increase internal diversity and inclusion within a company's leadership and employee base.

Mary Bilbrey, JLL Chief Human Resources Officer, Americas, said, "We're proud to accept this award, which follows several other diversity accolades we've received recently. We are committed to continuous improvement in this area, and to making professional opportunity as accessible as possible to all our employees so they, and our clients, achieve their ambitions."

Company initiatives were scored by a group of judges consisting of MBA staff and a member company. The companies were scored based on: the quality of their overall submission; identification of a target audience and annual goals; demonstration of a tangible benefit to participants and the overall enterprise; replicability of the program; innovative program approaches; and program success in broadening the culture of the organization through the values of diversity and inclusion.

"JLL's submission detailed a comprehensive, multi-faceted program that embraces the core concept that diversity and inclusion must be deliberate and intentional," said Christopher M. George, MBA Chairman-Elect, Chairman of MBA's Diversity and Inclusion Committee and founder, President and CEO of CMG Financial. "By demonstrating commitment to recruiting and retaining diverse employees, hands-on involvement from executive leadership and hosting a suite of events for women and minority employees, JLL proves the business case for focusing on diversity and inclusion within a company's own ranks."

Clients and third-party organizations continue to recognize JLL globally for its ethics, corporate citizenship and commitment to being an employer of choice. JLL has collected the following U.S. and global awards in the last year:
