Current Responsibilities
Alison leads the Canadian real estate debt brokerage and debt advisory division and heads up the mortgage agencies for JLL in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. She is also a registered mortgage broker in Quebec.
Experience
With over 30 years’ experience in commercial real estate, Alison has provided services to a variety of leading Canadian real estate entities, including pension funds, REITs, corporations, institutions and family offices. Over her career, Alison has been involved in more than $5 billion in financings.
Alison's expertise spans mortgage brokerage, loan underwriting, sales and loan syndication, structured finance (CMBS, private mortgage bonds), credit and risk management, and real estate appraisal. This provides her with deep connections to the industry and a rare understanding of different stakeholders' perspectives, allowing her to negotiate optimal financing for JLL's clients.
Her passion for financing translates into going the extra mile for her clients, creative solutions and an ability to communicate lending opportunities enthusiastically.
Alison has worked in senior positions at several renowned companies, including Desjardins Asset Management, Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Otéra Capital, where she held the position of Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to joining JLL, Alison was AVP of the debt and structured finance team at CBRE.
Alison holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Portsmouth, UK. Currently, she sits on the Board of a non-profit organization ‘Land without Borders’ , sits on the Disciplinary Counsel of the Quebec Order of Appraisers, and is a past president Montreal CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women).
