Retail leasing activity strengthens

The retail leasing market is expected to strengthen this year as Canada enters a more stable environment, particularly in Ontario and Quebec. Businesses have been optimistic about sales projections and increasingly confident to move into retail spaces. Furthermore, the supply of retail space has been constrained by the continued rise in construction costs.
