I am honoured to act as one of the inaugural co-chairs for the Canadian Black Professionals Network. As a black woman, I strongly believe in leading by example and that tomorrow’s leaders will need to be passionate, creative and courageous in drawing on diversity of ideas, backgrounds and beliefs to impact others around them. BPN members benefit from improved alignment, increased employee engagement and greater innovation and creativity; the result is magic and critically important. In a reputable company such as JLL, I find it rewarding to act as a voice for positive change.

I’m excited and enthusiastic about the future of young black professionals at JLL. The opportunity to be a part of that path, and to contribute towards the empowerment and advancement of black professionals in an organization that encourages and supports its diverse workforce is what motivated me to step forward as co-chair of JLL Canada’s Black Professional Network. This initiative will give a voice and identity to JLL’s diverse workforce. Members will gain more than a sense of inclusion – that’s already present; they will gain a greater sense of solidarity with the organization as a whole… and that’s meaningful.
