Marisol Rivera, Bachelor of Commerce, Real Estate Management

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to JLL for supporting my studies with the JLL Women in Real Estate Award. This award has allowed me to put more time and effort into studying and helping my family, something I am immensely grateful for. Currently, I am majoring in Real Estate Management, graduating in 2024. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I would like to attend Law School with a focus on real estate law. While attending Toronto Metropolitan University, I have also been able to volunteer with various programs to help support my community, and I one day hope to start my own non-profit to help others reach their academic goals. Few things in life are more important than a good education. Thank you for supporting my efforts to attain my education!”

UBC Sauder School of Business

Ao Lin Shen, Bachelor of Commerce, Finance

“When I decided to pursue a career in commercial real estate and finance, I knew I was up for a challenge. I’ve worked tirelessly to be ranked in the top 1% academically at UBC Sauder in these two competitive, challenging, and male-dominated options. As a young female minority, I've been doubted by both others and myself. Receiving the JLL Women in Real Estate Award was very encouraging for my professional development; it serves as a recognition of my efforts and an affirmation that I am moving in the right direction. I strive to become a leader in the CRE industry to create a more sustainable built environment and a more diverse workforce.”
