Ronald Sally joins JLL Sports & Entertainment Group
Ronald Sally has joined JLL’s Project and Development Services team as a Senior Vice President to lead its Sports & Entertainment and Higher Education sectors in the West.
DENVER, February 27, 2020 -- Ronald Sally has joined JLL’s Project and Development Services team as a Senior Vice President to lead its Sports & Entertainment and Higher Education sectors in the West. He is based in Denver, Colorado.
Sally is a seasoned and accomplished business executive with considerable experience and success in the sports/entertainment, venue development, and education industries. At CAA ICON, he served as an owner’s representative and development executive on several successful, high-profile projects including the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California, home of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings and the first LEED platinum indoor sports arena in the country.

A graduate of the UCLA School of Law and Duke University, where he was captain of the football team, Sally has been a prominent C-Level executive in the management and leadership of professional sports teams and holding companies including the NBA’s Denver Nuggets, NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Crush of the Arena Football League.
His past positions included President of the Colorado Crush (Winner of the Commissioner’s Award for Outstanding Business Operations), Owner’s Representative and Chief Operating Officer of the Colorado Crush, Senior Vice President of Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, Vice President of the Denver Nuggets, General Counsel for the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, and Assistant General Counsel and Director of Business Affairs for the Denver Nuggets.
A former professional athlete, Rhodes Scholarship candidate, and senior attorney with the firms Reed Smith LLP and Haight, Brown & Bonesteel LLP, Sally is also the founder of an award-winning educational non-profit organization called Project Greer Street. In 2014, Ronald Sally was a recipient of the prestigious Beyond Duke Service and Leadership Award for his work in the community. He has also received an “Everyday Hero” Award from ABC-affiliate Denver7 for his work with Project Greer Street.
