Scott Barras is the Head of Work Dynamics in Canada at JLL as well as Managing Director for the Financial Services Division. He leads business operations, drives strategic growth and oversees the delivery of innovative workplace and real estate solutions.
Scott is responsible for leading teams who focus on optimizing real estate portfolios, enhance client value, leverage cutting-edge technology, talent solutions and workplace strategies to support organizations across the rapidly evolving commercial real estate landscape.
At JLL, Scott in his Work Dynamics role works closely with the Lease Advisory and Capital Markets teams, ensuring a comprehensive approach to client needs and market dynamics for both Canada as a geography and Financial Services as a sector. His expertise in real estate trends, regulatory frameworks and industry specialization enables him to provide forward-thinking strategies that help organizations navigate the future of work.
With 20 years of experience in corporate real estate, Scott has worked extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. His global perspective enables him to implement best practices and innovative solutions tailored to the Canadian market.
Before joining JLL, Scott served as the Global Head of Workplace at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, where he led the transformation of workplace strategies across the bank. His leadership focused on driving experience, operational efficiency and sustainability, ensuring alignment with the bank’s business objectives and long-term real estate strategy.
Scott is an active member of CoreNet Global and was recognized as the Global CRE Executive of the Year in 2022.
