Jan Eckert is Chairman Capital Markets Dach and a member of the Capital Markets Executive Committee EMEA. After founding our Swiss branch in 2011, he has been CEO of JLL Switzerland – utilising his 30-year track record of success in real estate from his Zurich base.
After beginning his professional career in 1991 at Arthur Andersen in auditing and consulting, he founded the Andersen Real Estate division in Switzerland as a partner in 1997.
Jan later moved with his team to EY, where he developed the group into one of the most successful and renowned real estate consultants in Switzerland. In 2005, the team moved to Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. Corporate Finance (Switzerland).
In his career, Jan Eckert has successfully advised on more than CHF 25bn real estate transactions. He has been responsible for some of the largest transactions in German-speaking countries and continues to lead various advisory mandates in transaction management as well as other business areas. He also oversees several large valuation and marketing mandates.
Jan graduated from the HWV Zurich in 1991 with a degree in business administration. He became a Swiss Certified Public Accountant in 1997 and received a further degree in real estate economics from the European Business School in 1999.
